Holiday

Christian artist, songwriter, and author Tasha Layton ushers in the holiday season with her Christmas single, “Christmas All Year Long". With a mix of nostalgia and big-band charm, the track captures the heart of the season.
“Musically, this song carries the nostalgia of a big band and strings in a way where it could’ve been plucked out of the golden era of Christmas music,” shares Tasha Layton. “It feels timeless to me, and I love that! The lyrics are so cute and fun. My favorite line in the song is ‘rain is just thawed out snow.”
“I love Christmas so much!” says Layton. “First and foremost, I wanted a song that captured the joy of the Christmas spirit! Secondly, I wanted to create a playful way of communicating that the heart of Christmas goes far beyond just December. We can reflect on the Biblical concept that it is ‘better to give than to receive’ at all times! When people hear ‘Christmas All Year Long,’ I hope they feel joy and gratitude. I hope it puts a smile on their face and maybe even a little chuckle to lift their spirits. And this video captures that concept perfectly!”

"Christmas All Year Long" Lyrics
Intro
Let me tell you this, December twenty-sixth
Is the saddest day of the year
The cookies turn to crumbs, we knew the day would come
I can’t believe it’s almost here
But on second thought again
Who says it has to end?
Verse 1
Don’t you dare take that tree down
I don’t really see how it’s time for the lights to go
Who longs for summer, the heat is a bummer
And rain is just thawed-out snow
Let the calendar move right along
But we got a good thing going on
Chorus
My Christmas wish is
Let’s keep it Christmas
All year long
Verse 2
Tinsel on palm trees, still singing Bing Crosby
My swimsuit is red and green
My Super Bowl party has eggnog and holly
The Fourth of July, same thing
My friends think I’m losing my mind
But I’m having a jolly good time
Bridge
Maybe I’m too sentimental, is that such a crime?
I think I like Jesus’ birthday better than mine
Tag / Breakdown
How could it ever be wrong
To keep “Joy to the World” goin’ strong?
Final Chorus
My Christmas wish is
Let’s keep it Christmas
You might have guessed it
I kinda like Christmas
Already miss it
So let’s keep it Christmas
All year long
